Acne
If you’re a teen, chances are pretty good that you have some acne. Almost 8 in 10 teens have acne, along with many adults. Acne affects approximately 95% of the population at some point during lifetime. Acne can range from mild to severe forms, can sometimes cause extensive scarring, and typically occurs between the ages of 11 and 50. Acne is defined as a skin eruption caused by the bacteria propionibacterium acne, or p. acne. P. Acne only grows in the skin, not inside the body. If the eruption doesn’t have these bacteria present, it isn’t acne. Some professionals believe, that getting acne is part of one’s genetic makeup. Even if you are this acne-type skin person, you are absolutely not doomed to a lifetime of acne outbreak. It just mean that you are more likely to break out than other types. Acne can happen at any age, but if it happens when you are adult, your condition is known as adult-onset acne.
